This will be a night to gobble up tales of crafty youngsters, and  hysterical ghosts (Boy Dumplings, $16.95, Holiday House) to hungry ghosts who continue to torment those who wronged them (A Banquet for Hungry Ghosts: A Collection of Deliciously Frightening Tales, $16.99, Henry Holt). Here you'll have a window into the history and culture of China and a sampling of Chinese cuisine. This assortment of frightening tales--complete with historical notes and delectable recipes--will both scare and satiate!  But don't worry, we'll use care in not creating nightmares for the youngest set.

Ying is the author of many children's books, cookbooks and novels and has hosted her own Chinese Cooking show on TV. She will be here to present her new books (above) and help us sample a taste of Chinese culture!
