She started putting in her ten thousand hours to be an artist at the age of two and cranked up at least three hours very night of her young life, drawing, copying, learning and drawing more. In her young life, she was disappointed not to become the first female major league baseball player, and also disappointed not to have a career as a FBI agent, so she turned to writing and illustration and has never looked back. She has two daughters and five granddaughters. They are the source of many a book to come.
