FAQ

ARE YOU HIRING?

Our staffing needs vary but we're always happy to look at a resume. You'll need to come into the bookstore and pick up an application at the front desk. You may fill out the application in the store or take it home and bring it back at a later date.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

There is street parking on Lincoln Avenue or there is a small lot behind Hicklebee's on Minnesota.

DO YOU DO APPRAISALS?

We do not offer appraisals at this time.

DO YOU TAKE USED BOOKS?

We only take Hicklebee's books in good condition. Otherwise, we always have a book drive during the holidays.

IS YOUR STORE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

It is! We are also able to move all our furniture to accomidate anyone who would like to come in. For events, we are happy to reserve seats for people with disabilities. Just give us a call at 408-292-8880.

WHAT TYPES OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

All kinds! Cash, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, personal check. We also have Apple/Samsung Pay.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

We do exchanges or offer store credit. Just make sure the book/item has our Hicklebee's sticker on it. No receipt required.

DO I NEED A TICKET TO ATTEND AN EVENT?

All of our events are free and open to the public unless otherwise stated on our website.

I CAN'T MAKE AN EVENT. CAN I STILL GET A SIGNED BOOK?

Absolutely! Just give us a call at 408-292-8880. If you would like the book shipped to you, you must purchase the book(s) online and comment that you would like the book(s) signed and shipped, or a staff member can help you purchase over the phone.

I'M AN INDEPENDENT AUTHOR. CAN I SUBMIT MY BOOK TO YOUR STORE?

Click here for info on our Independently Published Authors program.

WHERE IS THE BATHTUB??

It's still here! It's in the back corner of the store behind the activies/crafts shelf. (please note! this play space is reserved for kids ages 6 and under! Though you are more than welcome to take a picture.)

CAN I DRAW OR WRITE ON THE WALL?

We only allow published authors and illustrators who visit our store to add their little touches. Maybe that will be YOU someday...
