TAB: Teen Advisory Board
Hicklebee's Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
The Hicklebee’s teen advisory board, also known as TAB, is a group of book-loving teens brought together by their love of young adult literature. The group meets the first Tuesday of the month throughout the year to plan events, talk books, and work on creative projects. With the pandemic, TAB meets online to continue their work and occasionally host virtual author events.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. To be eligible for TAB you must be between the ages of 13-18, commit to once-a-month meetings, and, of course, love books.

"I’ll be honest with you: I love books. I really love books. I love books so much that I sometimes just go to bookstores just to look at them because they’re just that fabulous. And with TAB, I get a chance to hang out with people who share my passion. I’m not afraid to be myself express my love for books and stories, because everyone at TAB loves books just as much (or more) than I do. In this environment, I can be myself without restraints, and to me, that’s what really makes TAB totally awesome." Catherine O., TAB Member
PREORDER THE DEBUT ZINE FROM TAB BELOW!
This February the Hicklebees teen advisory board will release its debut zine. A zine is a self-published magazine that has a long history in punk rock culture. This year has posed many challenges for all people. The teen advisory board has had to adapt in many ways to continue working together and to uphold our community of young readers at the store. This creative endeavor has been incredibly exciting for all the teens and we have put a lot of work into it.
